Review: Illustrated Bible For Kids

Loving this new kids Bible!!

You can watch a trailer about it: watch video.

It’s designed for kids ages 4-8. There are over 750 full-color illustrations and kid-friendly maps that bring the Bible to life. And, The New International Reader’s Version (NIrV) text, written at a third-grade reading level, makes it possible for kids to read the Bible on their own.

I don’t know if I love that the chapters and verses were removed, however I understand the logic behind it and it does create a distraction free reading experience which is great for newer readers!

Here are a few more things to consider:

  • The NIrV is based on the accurate, readable, and clear New International Version (NIV), today’s world’s most widely read Bible translation.
  • Whenever possible the NIrV uses the text of the NIV but where necessary uses shorter sentences and words easier to understand.
  • Throughout the translation, each verse has been meticulously evaluated in light of the meaning of the original languages in which the Bible was written.

It’s beautifully done and definitely something we will use with our 1st grader!

You can purchase it here.
